This app is meant to support the practice of accompanying the recently deceased with prayers as they go through the Bardo or “Intermediate State” between death and rebirth in accordance with the tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
How it works
Add as many profiles as you like to keep track of their bardo cycle and set reminders to help you not miss important days.
After clinical death, it is custom to perform the prayers during 49 days. This period is divided into seven 7-day cycles and special emphasis is placed at the completion of each one for it is during those days that beings are most likely to take on a new rebirth or even attain liberation.
Thus identifying this time window provides a great opportunity to assist them. May it bring limitless benefit to all sentient beings!
